With so few seminal moments in today’s literary zeitgeist, Forever Stamps is a welcome and vital addition to our national canon – not to mention to Zachary Amendt’s repertoire. These stories – set in Maryland and California, in baseball stadiums and gas stations – reflect what’s best about new American storytelling. We are fortunate that Amendt is re-writing the rules, changing how we read and think about and better inhabit our world.
